It never works! The only person it tracks is me!! I paid for it for my family phones and no matter what I do it will only track me! Wasted my money!

Tracking was two days behind. Uninstalled, reinstalled, never received verification code to register app. Unresponsive to emails-still waiting and still can’t use app. Use to love this app and used it every day for years. What has happened?

Waste of money

Giving it two more stars than it deserves only because it works, despite the inconveniences I mention below. I’ve not found it as hard to set up as others may describe, but am dismayed that when setting up a geofence you have to physically scroll the map and zoom in to the location you want. For some reason they have not provided a search function to allow you to pinpoint an exact address. Very inconvenient for when you are setting up a geofence in a location that is far away (I.e. across the country) and you don’t know enough about the location. I had to switch back and forth between the phone’s native map app and Footprints several times to pinpoint the locations for my long distance geofences. Also, when setting a geofence the map can only display in hybrid mode, even when you change the main screen’s map settings to just a plain old graphical map. This makes setting a the above mentioned long distance geofence even more cumbersome, as the map refresh rates are much slower. It would also be great if you could use a logged waypoint to set up a geofence. No can do. Lastly in the complaint department, tracking others won’t work unless you switch both location tracking and location sharing on for your own phone, even though you may not be giving others (I.e. your kids) permission to track you. What this tells me is Footprints is forcing you to track yourself and is likely using your location data for their own purposes.

Worked for about two days and then stopped. Tried some of the solutions mentioned but it won’t let me sign in or reregister. Website has not been updated since IOS 7.

Don’t waste your money. This app quit working several months ago. I was told my subscription expired so I paid to renew and it still dies not work. I contacted support and it never got fixed. I am deleting from my phone.

App not working since update. Please fix this!

I will be disputing this on my credit card bill, does not work, can't find my son to sync app. DO NOT waste money

My wife and I have been using Footprints for over a year now to track our two kids. It took us quite a while to configure the app and indeed customer service didn't really help. But once we figured it out, we were able to add many locations (fences) and now we get notifications whenever our kids arrive/leave home, school and all their activities. It's also pretty accurate and doesn't waste too much battery. We just renewed our subscription for all 4 of us for two years ($5.99 if I'm not wrong). I had issues with the renewal and it charged me 5 times, but I just called Apple Customer Service and got my money back right away. It turned out I had to uninstall and reinstall the app and then it worked like a charm. To my best knowledge it's the best app that keeps track of the kids whereabouts out there. So don't get discouraged if it's hard to set it up or if customer service is not good. It's worth using it once you go through the hurdles.

I bought the service for all 3 of my devises and it does not track at all. No customer service and no way to contact developers

Do not buy! Once you buy the app doesn't even open. And doesn't do anything $4.00 wasted on my part.

Stopped working and when I tried renewing it took my money 5 times! No support response. This is a scam- run away!

Don't waste money on it. Downloaded on 3 iPhone 6s pluses and none of them work.

I downloaded it sounded cool to track my son. Bought a two year subscription on both devices. Crappy tracker app when it works shows where he is. Huge delays get notifications hours later. I really want my money back.

The app does not work consistently and cannot figure out how to contact the developers. Don't waste your money.

I am a long time footprint user and love it for my family. (No friends or boyfriends). It is great to know your sisters are about to arrive or home safe. You can be a backseat driver on cross country trips helping them with rest stops and hotel directions. We love it. You can also turn off your families ability to track if you care, but we mostly see it as a safety thing. That said with my last iOS update to 9.something my screen went blank and would not work. I contacted the app company and they said this was a problem with a few users but if I deleted the app, restarted my phone and downloaded it again, it would work - IT DID. I am very happy to be up and running again and wanted to share my fix. (Or their fix).

Agree with other users- when this works, it's fantastically accurate for location and speed; when it doesn't work= total waste of money, completely blank/black screen, and there's zero customer service outside some sassy uneducated person responding to an email days later, if ever! I'm wondering-- if, God forbid, someone's child or elderly relative gets lost or stolen how SUED will this company get?!? FIX THE APP!! Update what you need. Get on it! It's been weeks now of blank screen.

I am now getting a blank screen after updating to iOS 9.3. Please fix this right away since I paid for this apps.

This app did not work!

Apple, why do you let people put apps on here that done even work? I mean, it's not just that it's a crappy app, it just doesn't even work. Way to go.

I did not want to give this app one star but they made me. I payed a year on my daughters phone and mine and ran into a problem so I emailed the app contact 5 times in 5 months to help resolve this problem so I can use the app or get my money back and I have had no response. Worst app ever!

I loaded the app fine on my iPhone 6s+ but it won't set permissions from my grandson's 4s and the software is up to date and within the requirements listed. Please advise. Now, my money is gone and I have no working app.

DO NOT BE STUPID LIKE ME and purchase this app. Once you pay for it, it stops working. I did this. Twice. Yes, I stupidly paid for it twice thinking it was some kind of fluke and surely it would work the 2nd time. and it doesn't work at all. Worked fine during the free trial period but like others have said, as soon as I purchased it the app stopped working.

Don't waste your money. I actually purchased for three phones on my account to track and it only worked on two and only for a short while. It tracked one phone perfectly for about a month and then it became sporadic and finally froze for weeks. I tried to reload it but I no longer have the access code or any way to recover it.

The developer states very clearly on their website that this app pretty much stopped working with iOS 7. The app would not refresh my daughter's location on her iPhone 6s with iOS 9. I wish the developer would remove the app from the store because it clearly does not work anymore.

I love this app! It does everything I need it to track my child's whereabouts. The only thing I wish is that you could create a geofence by entering a specific address rather than having to navigate to the location via the map. That is very difficult. Please update.

Don't waste your $. I thought it was great the first couple days- just what I needed to keep track of a sneaky teenager- until it stopped working intermittently. It's less reliable than the kid I'm trying to keep track of. Glad I didn't pay for it!

I got mine to work but tried to renew my sons and kept trying to activate. Always said expired and then i noticed my account was charged three times.

Barley works. Sometimes it doesn't update for over a day.

I have to agree with others. Worked on the trial but problems after I purchased 2 years for 3 phones. Doesn't always work. I got it to make sure my daughters going to college are safe. It's hard to know where they are at when the app doesn't update from a day ago. Right now my app says one of them is at home when I know she's at work. Really!?

And no customer support

I should have trusted the other reviews!!! Do not buy, this APP is a rip-off. Just as stated by others, this APP works for a couple of days, then stops. I bought to keep track of my 10 year old daughter, and did fine for 3-4 days, but now has "locked" on her phone's old location from 4 days ago. This is useless to me. Find My iPhone works much better and it's very accurate as to where my daughter's phone is when I check, it just doesn't provide tracking information, which is want I wanted. Move on to another APP, the developers of Footprints should go back to the old job.

Why do I care where my kid was 5 hours ago?! I need to know where they are now!! Not accurate and does not update. Though it is able to tell me where I am all the time!

The vendor has no tech support - period. It does not refresh locations regularly. Even with the refresh setting at once a minute, sometimes it will lag behind 10, 20, or more minutes before refreshing location. We wanted to use it to keep track of our teen driver, but with refresh lags like this it's pretty much useless. Don't waste your money on this app.

Not all friends are working and not real time. I would not pay for it unless it works during trial.

You have to buy a subscription for each person. (I bought 2 years each for all 3 of us.) The app has never shown my son as leaving our home. Totally does not work. I have tried every tracking setting it has. Do not buy.

not a good application. Doesn't update consistently. currently showing information for my child that is a week old. Yet my info is current. I have eve tried to uninstall and re install but still won't update my child.

I've used this app for almost a year now. I've got the parental controls set. I can tell if my child is speeding and if they are where they say they are. I've set up geofence notifications and they work well too. The only thing I have noticed is sometimes the notifications are delayed a bit. All in all a great product!

This is a great idea however, it fails to update my daughter's movements. It often shows her location from previous hours of the day as her "current" location. Save your self the frustration and use another app.

This would be a great app if it stayed working and actually provided the service I paid for. I purchased the app for all four of my family members and the only person I can always see is myself. What good does that do? None. I want my $ back on all four phones...

This app worked beautifully for a few weeks then nothing. I haven't been able to track my son in months. No help from customer service. What a waste of time and the $5.99 subscription!
